MAGA Disciples Should Not Be Laughed At
Lauren Boebert thinks she is hilarious.
For those of you who do not know who Lauren Boebert is, google her name. She is the attractive, usually bespectacled, mean girl, spurred forward by purified animus and spite. She has become quite famous recently, as she is an unabashed supporter of former MAGA President Donald Trump and his pernicious policies. And as a proud, unrepentant racist, and Islamophobic demagogue, she spouts fallacy and lies about brown people she labels as enemy.
Lauren Boebert is a member of the United States House of Representatives, one of the four hundred thirty-five people responsible for creating and enacting laws that govern the lives of more than three hundred million Americans. Her views on race and religion were laid bare during a recent “comedic” performance. Standing before a group of her constituents, Boebert launched an attack against Ilhan Omar, one of the few Muslim members of the United States Congress.
“I look to my left and there she is: Ilhan Omar.” Boebert paused, creating palpable anticipation in the crowd before saying, “And I said, well, she doesn’t have a backpack, we should be fine.”
The MAGA crowd erupted in laughter. A gleeful Boebert reveled in their cackling.
